OUR COMMUNITY PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS

Our nation is built on the strength of our citizens. Every day, we encounter situations calling upon us to be the eyes and ears of law enforcement. Not only does the Neighborhood Watch Program allow citizens to help in the fight against crime, it is also an opportunity for communities to bond through service.

Monthly Meetings:

are held at 7 pm on the 3rd Thursday of Every Month on the extra-large and covered patio at Anthony's Bed & Breakfast; 732 S. Pearl Street  Rockport, Texas.  This is a great way to get to know your neighbors and friends in the South Rockport community.  Meetings host speakers from Aransas County. City of Rockport, Chamber of Commerce, Rockport, Pilot,  Police &  Volunteer Firemen, Fraud Prevention, Hurricane Awareness, and much, much more.  Everyone is  asked to bring a dish for a Pot Luck Style dinner and we hold a drawing called the 50/50 to help raise money for many of our causes within the community.

Monthly Newsletter Online:

Read all about community news and issues that affect our community, upcoming calendar of events info, special program launches, speaker presentation and who's working at beneficial projects. You can view the newsletter online as well as receive it via regular US mail delivery.  Be sure to check out the fun to read "Snoop Lady" column.  It's light-hearted and entertaining! There's even a savory or sweet recipe page from "Missy Prissy"!  Ask about our Monthly Newsletter Advertising Opportunities - Be Seen!

Fixin' Up Award:

This program was established to give recognition

to a home-owner or business who has demonstrated significant accomplishments by enhancing

the community's environment.

National Night Out:

It's America's Night Out Against Crime at the VFW Hall!
National Night Out is a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch.   Texas celebrates this special evening in the month of October each year. We cordially invite you and your community to be a part of our NIGHT OUT 2011 team.

Your campaign involves citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from Aransas County to participate.

The program is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; strengthen neighborhood and police-community partnerships; and
send a message to criminals that our neighborhood crime watch program works.

SRN Scholarship Fund:

South Rockport Neighbors (SRN) donates $1000 each May to one or more deserving students who are graduating from Rockport-Fulton High School.
